Is that John Tropea piece a cover? It sounds really familiar and it's driving me nuts I can't place it.

I think we, as a group, need to be careful, this is rapidly turning into the Jeff Beck thread... :)

I wonder what the great man himself listens to....
He's probably too busy working on his 'Big Block' hot rod cars to listen to much music

Ha..yeah I know. @RCBinTN posted an album the other day and I have been lost in my Beck collection ever since.
When you do some serious critical listening to him it is unbelievable what a magician he is with the guitar...himself and the guitar become one, I feel this about all of the great guitarist.

He probably is, I think it is where he probably spends most of his time.
I wish I would have been able to see him in the later 70's

Subdudes: Primitive Streak, I need to listen to this again as well. What are zydeco sounds doing on a Subdudes album? This is not what I was expecting.
Their music is interesting, but I think they could use a real drummer.

That is well stated, and it's not only the guitarists. My favorite musicians are the folks who make it seem effortless and the emotion takes control. I especially find that in the best jazz saxophonists, pianists and drummers. I keep thinking "wish I could play like that." I remember feeling the same thing when I saw Michael Jordon play basketball back in the 1990s. Uber-smooth :)

Such a relented musician, he strode the test of time.
