His cover of When In Rome's "The Promise" (below) is groovy, too -- my favorite version of this song, for sure:

You know, I have never actually listened to this album in it's entirety. Always just looked at them as a one hit wonder. Maybe I should give it a go.

He won the Best Country Album Grammy for his third studio album - A Sailor's Guide to Earth.
It's about the birth and life-journey of his son. Engaging. Doesn't sound anything like country music, to me.
His second studio album Metamodern Sounds in Country Music was nominated for Best Americana Album.
