Woke up this morning thinking of some of the tunes off the album today, so I decided to start my morning with it. Forgot how much I love this gem. This is Trivium's first record after their EP released back in 2003. This was written and recorded when Matthew Heafy was only 17 and I feel comparing this album with their latest work, you can see how he has grown as a musician, a person, and as a vocalist (especially).

The Faceless-Progressive "extreme" metal....would have to classify as Death Metal...but a lot of refined almost jazzy overtones. Opeth fans should dig these guys.
