Great choice, and by far my favorite Neil Young Archives release. I was just listening to CSNY's Deja Vu compilation yesterday, and I think I'll be listening to Young's Harvest Moon when I get home this evening.

I think I've already posted the first FTL soundtrack some time ago. Ben Prunty's back for the latest update to FTL, which is more like a mini-expansion than a mere update. It's got brand-new stuff, a refined UI, more ships, and more songs. The soundtrack is free forever, so you could grab it at the link above. I've also added a link to the original OST set, which retails for $5 USD on Bandcamp.
 
As for teh music itself, I can't pinpoint what it really is; it is a soundtrack after all. It's just spacey tunes for the most part.
