Great album. Didn't listen 2 studio version. I'm not a Nick Cave fan. Any recommendations for his older albums?

Just downloaded this in FLAC:
You guys turned me onto Iiro Rantala, this is pretty cool -- his piano improve stuff with electric guitar and some guy beat boxing.... I swear there can't be anything else like it.

Also, does any one know of proper lossless recordings of this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up4frUfVRfA has it not released yet maybe? I hope there's a real studio recorded version that comes out.

I'm glad to see you are enjoying Iiro Rantala. I've gone to only a couple live concerts in my life so far, but I've had the pleasure of hearing Iiro's piano concerto being performed in my hometown (yes, he has composed a classical piece as well, very much full of musical humor like most of his music). It took a couple of years, but eventually the concerto was released on CD on the BIS label as well. The man's piano playing is truly out of this world.

That song you asked about seems to be a new composition and the video was only recorded a couple months ago. To my knowledge it has not been released on record, but given how brilliant it is I fully expect to see it appear on Iiro's next CD, which I have fingers crossed will come out next year. Lars Danielsson, the bassist on that video, is signed to the same label as Rantala and I hope to see him appear on the next record as well, for they seem to have great chemistry together. He did already play on Iiro's last record, My History of Jazz.

If you haven't already, I recommend checking out Trio Töykeät. It's the trio Iiro Rantala had for over ten years before that New Trio project.

As it is Christmas Eve, the day Christmas is celebrated and presents handed out in Finland, I likely won't be listening to much music today, but just to give you guys a heads up one of my favorite modern electronic artists Symbion Project is having a limited sale until the end of the year on his Bandcamp and offering the CD+DVD version of his Misery in Soliloquy album bundled with free copies of Wound Up by God or the Devil and Contrapasso for the incredibly low price of $12 plus shipping. All the albums can be streamed in full on Bandcamp so there's no need to be buying anything blind either.
