This recording (1994) collaboration was the result of a “career crossing” of sorts as guitar chair in the super (jazz) group Fourplay transitioned from Ritenour to Carlton, but only they knew it at the time. Before their launching successful solo careers, these guys were first-call studio session players for artists from Steely Dan to Pink Floyd.
The outstanding sound quality being due to Lee's GRP label studio magicians

Just to follow-up with information just learnt (by me) ... seems there is a "Qobuz" button in Roon that takes you immediately to the Qobuz content. When I checked it, just now, sure enough, those albums are there! In the past, new Qobuz content just uploaded into Roon by itself, and I still don't understand why it didn't this time. Perhaps there's just a time lag.But nothing is really available 'on Roon' - Roon works with all your connected source material, including the internet and streaming platforms like Qobuz and Tidal; anything that's on Qobuz should be available through Roon if you've got it hooked up to it, I'd think.
Anyway, here's the new 2023 remix of one of my favorite Beatles songs, now included on the Red 2023 album:
Edit: Maybe I shouldn't go there, but if they can make a ~1962 tape sound like that, today, what do y'all think they could do with some of those old jazz recordings from the 1950s.
Edit again: Roon answered - seems the metadata was received late and missed their deadline, and then their overnight build crashed which mucked up the whole process. An unusual occurrence, so it seems. Just FYI, friends.
