I've been into "Jazz" since the late 70s, I just never followed Miles. Today, when I'm buying stuff, I'm looking 70s jazz, R&B, Rock, and Disco.Very nice ... jazz lovers unite! So you're buying the CDs, while I am streaming those albums from Qobuz for ~$10/month. I as well am new to Miles and really to the jazz of that era in total. It's a fun excursion.
Anyway, I collect physical media. Been collecting since the mid 70s with vinyl. I ripped my entire CD collection (2700+) to my NAS in FLAC a few years back for streaming through Plex when out and about or just driving around. Any CDs I buy now are automatically ripped.
When home, I play the files locally through JRiver Media Center through my DAC when not listening to the actual CD (CD player connected to DAC).
Everything you see in that image is physical media ripped to my (NAS). That's me. YMMV.
I don't have a need for those "complete" sessions. If I come across them for a good price, I'll pick them up, but they'd be more for "collecting" than listening to.One that I don't see in your collection is the complete "In a Silent Way" sessions which I think is 3.5-hours long. The first time that John McLaughlin had played with Miles.
