Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang(36 Chambers)

Not sure about the 2022 remix of my favorite Beatles song. It is nicely detailed and clear, the old extreme left - right panned stereo image is finally fixed, but is it just me or does it really sounds significantly less dynamic and punchy than the older 2009 mastering? I feel it is a bit too dry, there is less of a pop rock vibe.

I thought the 2022 Giles Martin mix was vastly superior to the older mix. I never compared it to the 2009 version. But I have a hard time listening to the original mix now that I’ve heard the 2022 version. FWIW

Foo Fighters- The Colour and Shape

Weather wise, this past week here has been "a wicked scorcher" highs of 94-96 , although over the next two weeks forecasts range from todays 94 edging down to 91 and then below 90 predicted as we begin sub 80's overnight lows.
Fortunately our new AC unit which has a more powerful blower and set at 80 has been keeping my cool, no sweat :sunglasses:

"a wicked scorcher" - by any chance did you grow up in the Northeast?

Neil Young - Homegrown.png
Judging by the album artwork, he's singing about sweet corn.

Neil Young albums from the mid-late 1970s. The first three albums were
recorded back in the day but, for some reason, were not released until much
later. "Chrome Dreams" was just released on August 11; that's what prompted
me to listen to Neil's music today.
Edit: turns out these mysterious albums are part of Neil's Special Release
Series, along with the album "Toast" and the seemingly still-unreleased live
album "Odeon Budokan." Kinda tough to follow it ... he's all over the place. :)
Final edit: got bored with that music, those albums repeat the same songs,
so took @LarsMan advice and put this one on - a nice change and Neil rocks!

No matter what era, Neil's songs are engaging. He's a great songwriter.

Wicked, that you would correctly identify that geographic specific overused idiom, David
Yes, Rhode Island, Narragansett Bay Area, where a softer Boston accent is common v Midwest correctness of dialect, or even California's.
The exposure to the many U.S. dialects while I was in the Army was a very interesting enlightenment, where I would stick out in speech as much as my Arkansas good ol' boy running partner to our often shared amusements.
Yeah, "Wicked" in the late '70 in N. England was like "Amazing" has become in it's overuse. lol
