1€ for a double LP? Sure, why not?

First record: how many uninspired Ave Marias can you stand? Booooooring....

Expecting the worse for record #2 when an almost perfect "Va, pensiero" starts to play. In the end, great opera chorus renditions from the Berlin German Opera Choir and Orchestra and some not so well known (at least for me) conductors: Alberto Erede, Argeo Quadri, Wilhelm Schüchter, Horst Stein, Richard Kraus. Definitely must dig for Kraus' Tannhäuser.

Well worth the 1€.

Rat Saw God . Wednesday

I am happy right now. There is still good new music being made. It’s just harder to find. And curse recommendation engines!

Wednesday sit somewhere between alternative rock, shoegaze and country. The songs are not always pleasant, sometimes bordering on hard to digest. For me, that is part of a satisfying musical journey. A challenging listen is just the right thing to do at times. It won’t be my go-to record for comfort, but can see getting it quite a bit of personal airtime.
