Today I felt like starting a Krautrock marathon with an album-long track, little pleasures and rarities that some of us have and that many get bored waiting for “the lyrics to start” or “the song is too long”, etc.

Remember that I enjoy lighter music, by the way.

I stand around the streets
And lie around the floor
Looking at the sky
I watch the world go by

I had just moved to the Bay Area and was at that wet January Winterland show with several other sailors. We had driven down from Mare Island. The Sex Pistols absolutely sucked. The Nuns and the Avengers killed. I left during the Pistols set they were so bad. And not bad in a "bad is punk" way. Just amazingly bad.

Jeff Beck - Emotion & Commotion.jpg
Jeff and his orchestra (literally) in a 2008 studio album. Beautiful music.
This song includes a ticket to Heaven.

Joss Stone and Jeff explode.

Jeff Beck - Performing This Week ... Live At Ronnie Scott's.jpg
Tal Wilkenfeld on bass, Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.

Is he using a pick here? Hard to tell for sure ...

It's just too good. Next time, I will post the whole album. :)

Probably my favorite of all Jeff's albums, partly because of the rhythm section,
mostly because Jeff is in superlative form ... he covers a lot of bases here.
