I see from your gear list that you've got a Holo May DAC and and Eddie Current Studio B - so do I! How do you like your EC, and what 300B tubes are you using in it?

Great choice in gear my friend! I really love that little amp. Right now I'm running EML Mesh Plates in it, which I find to be lacking nothing. Considering all points in the chain the sound is crisp, clean, punchy, and engaging. The amp is dead silent and tubes have nice frequency representation across the spectrum. I'm still gearwhoring, but this setup has slowed things down a lot for me. What are your thoughts?I see from your gear list that you've got a Holo May DAC and and Eddie Current Studio B - so do I! I originally got Gold Lions; JJ's were recommended to me but nobody had them at that point. Then I did replace them with JJ's, which were marginally better, but when I tried out my Susvara on that just for grins, I could say that that match didn't work. It was all tinny soundingGreat choice in gear my friend! I really love that little amp. Right now I'm running EML Mesh Plates in it, which I find to be lacking nothing. Then I said, 'to hell with it', and got a pair of those new Western Electric 300B, plus an upgrade on the smaller amp tube to pack more punch, and now it's a dream listening to Susvara through it. Can it deliver all the bass those phones are capable of? Of course not, but can it deliver satisfactory bass with well recorded source that will vibrate your skull even if not at a loud volume? Yes it can do that.
And the transparency and clarity and the opening up of everything in that EC/300B set up I will take over the other amps I've tried that will get more bass out of them but don't have that EC magic. It's like having an awesome pair of speakers that you just love just about everything about; though a subwoofer in the chain wouldn't hurt. You could still get total enjoyment even without the subwoofer, and that's how I feel about the Susvara through the EC/WE300B.

That takes me back, haven't heard it since the mid eighties. Last album with Roger Waters as I recall.

I came across this artist Jason Collier and his collaborators with John Mayer by accident. Once you play it in your rig or home system, the melody grabs you.
Great band !

Saw these guys live 2 weeks ago and one of the best shows in my life. 2 hours of music heaven. Much bourbon was consumed!
