I saw them in late '91 (I think) in Syracuse NY, probably the Catfish Rising tour. Not great seats to see the stage, but the sound and the atmosphere was amazing!I got to see them perform the whole thing when they toured on it. Did the same with 'A Passion Play' the following year!!

... and the times I saw them was at the Rochester War Memorial when I was living there while at college!I saw them in late '91 (I think) in Syracuse NY, probably the Catfish Rising tour. Not great seats to see the stage, but the sound and the atmosphere was amazing!
Went to Syracuse for a few shows in the early 70's - Led Zeppelin supported by the James Gang, and Humble Pie, I forget who opened.... Also went to Buffalo to see Traffic play at Kleinhans Music Hall, but we got loads of shows in Rochester....

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's 1970 album 'Deja Vu'
This is an album which I loved when it was released, but I didn't own a copy until I finally bought it on CD, about 10 years ago.
Last weekend I called into my local vinyl store (an expensive visit..) and on the shelf there was a mint, first pressing of Deja Vu.
I came out with that, as well as an original pressing of Jethro Tull's 1972 double compilation album 'Living in the Past'.
Two more vinyl albums to try on my new turntable set up...![Beyer Smile  ](https://cdn.head-fi.org/e/headfi/beyersmile.png)

More or less my path as well. Steppenwolf with Lee Michaels my first live concert in early high school. Nose-blèed section in small venue. Cost like a $1.25. I was hooked!Cool! A Steppenwolf documentary would definitely be interesting. One of my all-time favorite bands. In jr, high ( as Cream gradually "passed away..."), and early high school my favorite band was Steppenwolf and my best friend's favorite band was Creedence. I liked Creedence as well, but after maybe four really good Steppenwolf albums, I began to migrate steadily toward Jethro Tull, and eventually Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.
