What Are You Listening To Right Now?

OK, I'm sold. And I did see your earlier post about albums three and four. Since I don't want to wait until July 22, which of his first four would you recommend as your favorite?
It's a fair question, and will reply here since I posted his four albums here.
In order of my most to least favored: Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, Fear of the Dawn and Boarding House Reach.
BHR is a bit over-synthesized for my taste, although the songs are well written. He doesn't need uber-tech to make his music lovely. He rolled that back somewhat on Fear of the Dawn. Happy listening :)

ps. I've not heard any of his White Stripes music, and will be heading that way soon. Jack White was somewhat of a reach for me, as I don't usually like that kind of music. But, there's just something about him ...

Today's listenings ... down to New Orleans in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.

Dr. John - City That Care Forgot.jpeg
Dr. John & The Lower 911 - Tribal.jpg
Mac Rebennack and his Lower 911 band from 2008 and 2010, ranting about
the lack of progress toward rebuilding the city after Katrina in 2005. Guests
include Eric Clapton, Troy Andrews and Willie Nelson. The music is uplifting;
the lyrics are damning of the political machines that prevented progress.

You must be the same age as I. And while the Lovedrive vinyl rocketed the Scorpions into the mainstream that year, I came to realize I was much more into Judas Priest? So that’s kinda what you had I guess, Scorpions as “lightweight” metal and Judas Priest as heavier metal! IMO
Huge high school favorite.
