JJ Cale and EC are a good complements ... they're great together as well

Eric’s first solo album had a cover version of JJ’s song After Midnight which, became a top 20 hit for him. JJ was dead broke at the time and, Because of the success of After Midnight was convinced to cut an album himself (with a slower tempo version of After Midnight in it). So basically, the two artistes are responsable for each other’s successful debut solo albums. Their friendship lasted until JJ’s passing. May he rest in peace.
