You know the drill. Every 10 years or so, Alligator puts out a compilation of some of
their best music, with most songs selected by the label's founder Bruce Iglauer, from
the 350 albums they have released since 1970. How the hell he does that, who knows,
but the music is great. Thanks to @whirlwind who just posted the 40th Anniversary and
got me looking for the 50th.

Here's Katie Webster laying down a track for your listening pleasure.

Gorgeous post punk/ proto new wave influenced act reminiscent of artists like The Wire / Magazine / The Sound / Yellow (early 80s).............. or more contemporary acts like Regis / Carla Dal Forno / Tropic of Cancer or even HTRK & Maria Minerva........
All of this in just one record.......
A very meticulous sound, a very interesting blend of industrial /techno /new /dark wave hybrid.
Dark, melodic, sentimental waves all around...
