There are some recordings that I just keep returning to regularly over the years and this is one of them. I don't actually know why I just connect with some recordings and not others, but I do.

I first got this on CD when it came out and I loved it then. I still have that CD but now I am listening to it on Apple Music in fact.

Although we don't talk audio equipment in this forum when I'm listening to this I am sometimes thinking I might like to have a pair of HD800S headphones. The orchestration on this is just so lovely to listen to and while my T1s are superb in so many ways maybe for relishing the beautiful orchestration the HD800Ss would be better.

There is just so much going on with Prokofiev. There is the really clever structure to each piece, there is the breathtaking beauty, the drama, just so much!
