Tin Soldier

Thanks for posting this @Ryokan. Fantastic! :relaxed:
Steve Marriott was one of my music heroes. Amazing voice and a very good guitarist too.
I saw him with his band 'Packet of Three' many times in the '80s at small venues in London.
Tin Soldier was always on the playlist and a real favourite
Steve was one of the truly great rock vocalists (in my opinion).
I managed to find some Steve Marriott live performances on Qobuz which brought back some great memories as I was probably at one of these gigs!
The album is called 'Steve Marriott's Packet of Three LIve From London'
Tin Soldier is on the album. Personally, I don't think it is as good as the Small Faces version in your video clip, but you might enjoy it.

Wow. Don't know how you came to Bugs, but be glad you did. He was famous around DFW and I saw him multiple times - always a great show - and always played barefoot! First time was late 60's in Dallas (had to make the trip), but he came over to Fort Worth quite a bit as well. Multiple times in early 70's at the Showdown on Camp Bowie Blvd. He was the very last performer at the Caravan of Dreams in downtown FW for it's closing after many years of hosting great music. That it was such a great venue and nationally known jazz club says alot about Bugs that they had him as their last performance. Locally revered and always awesome! RIP Bugs.

After posting this I suddenly felt sure I've seen it posted on here recently, I hoped no one minded if it was.
I'm embarrassed to admit I'm not very familiar with Steve Marriott and have been reading about his untimely end, very tragic and so many great musicians leave us too soon, imagine the music they would've given us, people like Jimi Hendrix. Yes he has a great voice, very distinctive like Eric Burton.
