Nils Lofgren's 2014 boxset, 9 CD compilation album 'Face the Music'
This is a treasured possession as I bought it from the man himself after a gig.
He selected all the tracks on the album himself.
This boxset now appears to be a collectors' item as it is no longer available new, and used copies are being advertised for sale at over £250!
With over 150 tracks on this compilation it is impossible to pick an overall favourite.
Full track list here:

'Valentine' is an absolute gem. Trademark guitar from Nils and The Boss on backing vocals!

.........and one of the most important (if not THE MOST IMPORTANT...) morden baroque records ever written.....DCD at the pick of their inspiration & creativity having allready released earlier "SPLEEN AND IDEAL" (another modern brilliant masterpiece) have definetely marked with their sound the 80s music scene ,and establishing this way a whole new chapter in modern music synthesis.

Strangely I have this relationship visiting their music since hearing and buying the Aion CD in 1990? And to this day I have a hard time calling them a specific genre?
There are only these few which seem to have been so dense that even after all these years, I have not tapped what they are truly about. The remaining albums are like lost unexplored continents to me, yet to be visited?
This music seems to scale up too, always showing new details the higher in reproduction you climb?

I’m attempting 1996’s Spiritchaser now which so far is truly different, very guitar based and drum based........which is a departure for them. But knowing them it may do a 180?
