Happy Friday!

:)

Good grief, I remember watching that King Tut performance as it happened back in the day. I even had a "I'm a wild and crazy guy" t-shirt. I was a teenager then, so that's my excuse.
And now my contribution for today.

Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968 (1998 CD Box set) - 4 CD set that took me a couple of days to get through. A lot of great songs contained in this set. A lot of the recordings leave a lot to be desired though. Still working my way through the Rolling Stone's 500 best albums of all time list.

The Best of Little Walter - Little Walter - I am surprised by how much I like old blues like this and albums by Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and the like. I can't even say what it is that I like about it. Maybe it's just that this is actually the bedrock that a lot of rock music is built upon and I subconsciously recognize some of these riffs and song structures.

Everybody knows this is Nowhere - Neil Young and CrazyHorse - Not my cup of tea. Quality music for sure, I am just not a fan of Neil's voice. The recording is pretty damn good though.
