Not sure man, I got it recommended but I'm not excited about them.
If you could get Flor de loto (from peru) now, that is awesome! (specially first 2 albums)

Winter - Into Darkness

Twenty years on and still the some of the heaviest music I've heard.  Precursor to drone/doom by almost a decade.  Hasn't aged a bit, which is typical of albums considered 'seminal'.

Coincidentally I have just discovered that Winter are reforming to play Roadburn 2011, to be hosted by Sunn O))).  Too cool for words.

^^^ I've heard Periphery is good. Will check out.

This whole album is really really good, what an effort for a guy in his mid '60s (he's over 70 now). Thanks to whoever suggested it, I think I "discovered" it in this thread

I bought this after seeing it on here and in this particular thread too. I saw it thought it was worth checking out and after sampling it on Amazon ordered it. I dont think there is a bad song on it.

Listening to this right now. Ripped this to my hard drive after borrowing it from my local library...Al Green, Lay it Down.

Not a bad song on this one either

Thanks for the heads-up. I can't believe that album is from 1990. Jeez, in 1990  I was listening to NIN, My Bloody Valentine, Megadeth, Cocteau Twins and  Dead Can Dance.

The Who's "Underture" from the album "Tommy" for the third time while rediscovering The Who. This time with a different headphone for the third time. I had this album for a long time but only now am I appreciating it, just wonderful.

Set up: CD690 + AU-217 I + Philips N6330

P.S. The N6330 matches incredibly well with the amplifier...
