I used to have this strange bias against female singers and simply couldn't stand them, but after listening to the Jesus and Mary Chain's "Sometimes Always" (which features Hope Sandoval a.k.a Mazzy Star) I started to warm up to them and at this very moment I'm listening to Camera Obscura's "My Maudlin Career".

And yes--Fade Into You is brilliant.
