A China Mieville fan or just like the quote??
Fan - very much so. Of the fiction - I’m pretty apolitical, so I haven’t read any of his non-fiction. That quote is from one of the short stories in Three Moments of an Explosion, which I read because I’ve basically read all the novels. Perdido Street might be my all time favorite - it’s certainly on the list. You a fan too?A China Mieville fan or just like the quote??
Yes I most certainly am, and I've read everything by him except 'King Rat'. Been to a few of his book-readings and signings in San Francisco, too - a really cool guy and he looks like somebody you'd want on your side in a fight! He signed my edition of 'Perdido Street' by writing backwards, "Play safe, use mirrors".... I thought they did a pretty good job of the mini-series version of 'The City and The City'.... I hope he's got something new in the works!Fan - very much so. Of the fiction - I’m pretty apolitical, so I haven’t read any of his non-fiction. It was surprisingly good, all things considered. Obviously targeting a younger audience but still fun nonetheless!Excellent piece of music and the best series that Netflix has put out in a while.![]()
To me that was part of what made it great. I am pretty sure that they weren't aiming for the 62yr old male demographic, but I binged it.It was surprisingly good, all things considered. Obviously targeting a younger audience but still fun nonetheless!
