I have loads of Jeff Beck albums but 'Blow by Blow' is the one I keep going back to , followed by 'Wired'Good place to start... and end.
Lots of Weather Report for me lately- from a Capitol five CD package:
I Sing the Body Electric
Sweetnighter
Mysterious Traveller
Black Market
Night Passage
Haven't liked all of it, but I've just been listening so far, I'll have to go back through a few times to decide what I like and what I don't.
Absolutely, "Blow by Blow" is the ultimate Jeff Beck album. "Wired" is excellent as well, but for me it pales in the shadow of "Blow by Blow." "Wired" always struck me as "Blow by Blow (pt.2). In recent years, I keep going back to "Jeff" (Japanese version with additional tracks,) and "...Live at Ronnie Scott's." All things considered, I truly feel that Jeff Beck is the greatest guitarist of all time... (PS. Ask me tomorrow and I might feel differently, but I doubt it...)I have loads of Jeff Beck albums but 'Blow by Blow' is the one I keep going back to , followed by 'Wired'
