So I was gonna try a travelogue type thing with the Blues Trail, but tile layers disrupted that plan. 1st time listening in 5 days or so. Tab Benoit in NOLA was fabulous. He played For What It's Worth, made my night.
So this guy was a surprise indeed at Reds in Clarksdale. Awesome singer, player and bluesman. Made my night, he too played For What It's Worth.
Up in Memphis we caught John McEuen at the Orpheum Theatre.
With The String Wizards. His new album is on Chesky Records and well recorded. He was surprised that I'd heard of Chesky. Nice guy by the way and tells great stories.
