Recently listened to two lovely ladies performing the very difficult task of contributing something special to a performance of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons:
Of the two, I liked the Lara St. John performance - her technique is excellent and the recording is very good, even though both are spirited and engaging. I know I could well be accused of picking a CD based on covers, but I'm very pleased with these purchases (and the purchases were prompted by many glowing reviews).
The second half of the Lara St. John performance with other compositions inspired by the four seasons is also very good.
I'm runnin' threw the Brew, thinkin' about the Legacy Edition, with the original mix, about to drop. I can only fathom what Columbia is going do for fifty.
