La Stravaganza - 12 Violin Concertos by Antonio Vivaldi
Rachel Podger with Arte dei Suonatori
Disc 1 of 2 SACD

Really, Really nice! Vivaldi violin concertos are very engaging and accessible. The performance and sonics are outstanding. I'm listening in stereo, with headphones, right now but I would be very curious to hear this in multichannel playback.

If this doesn't keep your day at work moving along, check your pulse...

Bill Frisell - "The Intercontinentals"

A stunning piece of world music from a guy who's done it all and doesn't stop progressing. Currently playing selected nights at the Village Vanguard in NY. I wish it were closer to Detroit.

That's great stuff. Have you heard Viktor Krauss' 'Far From Enough'? Lots of very nice Frisell work on that, along with some Jerry Douglas.

Right now, for me: Little Village. Anyone who has not hear this ought to get hold of a copy... it's beautiful work, especially if you are a John Hiatt or Ry Cooder fan.
