Lusting for an XcanV2 though

seems like there should be a seperate catagory for jmt-built cha47.

Or better, just "DIY or DBSE". That's why I voted for "other solid state" -- my most commonly used amps are all DIY Cmoy variants.

There's a whole lot of DIY headamps out there that didn't have JMT's hands involved in the creation.

Seems like every time there's a poll, some ass has to go and complain about the options.

Maybe we should have polls about polls.

Cmoy by JMT so far, definitely looking into an amp for my AKG's (corda vs. creek).

Creek OBH-11, the oft overlooked draft horse.

TA now. Lusting for an HA2 Premium, but will probably settle for MG Head

I'm not sure "settling" would be the right term of the MG Head. It is a great sounding amp with the "right" tubes.

Since I entered the headphone amp "arena", I started with a Creek OBH11 powering (or it least it tried) HD600's. Decided it did not make it after about a year.

Tried the Headroom Supreme. Still not enough low end.

Tried the ASL MG Head OTL, and liked the sound MUCH better
than any other amp I have tried with the HD600's.

So now I have the OTL and a Total Airhead.
Cans are Sennheiser HD600's (home/main); HD570's (travel),
Sony MDR7506 (portable/travel); Koss HV/X (bedroom); and for exercise in the gym, Radio Shack Nova-71's (a decent sound for $25).

The Nova's are sealed, cheap cans that are great for keeping out gym noise and sweating in.

Wheatfield Audio HA-1 here.

First amp was a Creek OB11-SE, but the HA-1 sounds much better. Very happy with it, especially the build quality and the beefy components inside. Beautiful build and solidly constructed.
