I'm just curious...my hd800s are en route and I have not received them yet....but couldn't help but question that once you've heard the hd800...what headphones would they permit you to purge from your collections? What would they offer that no other could?

The DT48 made it easy selling all my headphones. But might use the cash to buy the HD800. Some are saying best ever. if that's any indication on how good they are. R10/HE90.

I've been weighing that, as well. The HD-600, HD-650, K-701, and DT880 might have to go to make room for the HD-800.

It's overpriced, but having heard the HD800, I want a pair.

All the headphones I listed are replaceable. If I want any of them again, I can get another pair with a few clicks.
