Hi all,

I own a pair of westone 4r for years and have bought 3 original cables which in time break. I Would like to know if there is a cable that is cheaper and last longer or not as expensive as in the UK the original cable is £40. is there a cable with a mic so i can use my iPhone without taking my phone out.

I don't want to spend to much on the cables as i am sick of buying the original cable and does not last longer than about 2 years.

Amazon uk have a load of sub £20.00 cables. Just make sure you get the appropriate connection (2 pin or mmcx) and you'll be good to go for the short term at least. Failing that give hifiheadphones who are westone dealers in the uk a shout tomorrow and see what they recommend. Oh and well done on sticking with one set of headphones for years. Bit of a rarity on headfi!

Looks like it uses a standard 2-pin cable. Probably loads of good cables <$20 available.
