I listen mainly to rock but the instrument realism on the JVC's is amazing. Definitely not boring.

Bumping a bit of an old thread... but with my W3 this is where I run the EQ in iTunes to make the sound radicaly "cleanup" to my ears
 

 
Based on this, I'm assuming that a W4 might sound PERFECT to my ears WITHOUT the use of the EQ??? What do you think?

Possibly. W3 and W4 sound very little alike. I'm not really too sure how the W4 EQ looks, although I'd imagine close to flat.
