WDS-1 and WTP-1: The New D/A Converter and CD Transport from Woo Audio

Can we please get some pictures of the back, and maybe some pics of a WA2/WA22 next to it, to get an idea for dimensions and size?
would be so awesome if you could mount the wa22 on the dac, but somehow I doubt this is possible.

personally not really interested in the transport.

Also, please confirm if a black version of this will be available, to suit a black WA2/WA22

If you visit their site on their homepage it shows the DAC and transport both can also come in black.

I'm with you though, much more interested in the DAC than the transport...that's what my PC's for!

Would love to see a video showing opening and closing the CD tray. I haven't used CDs in so long--having a beautiful piece of equipment like this would give me a good excuse to do more with my collection after I've ripped them to my HDD.

Tyll's CES 2012 video of the Woo Audio both shows the transport opening.

Interesting, the WA2 should almost be able to fit on top of the WDS-1 but not in a straight orientation
as in H*W*D:
DAC 84x230x320mm
WA2 140x330x230mm

not sure if anyone cares tbh, but i prefer the idea of stacking rather than separate shelves for different items.

Jack - Hi

I am interested in the cd player to replace a Meridian unit which died - although I mainly stream music or run off my macbook a CD player still is useful.  Can you please clarify  - presumably it has an inbuilt DAC of reasonably quality so I can run it straight into my amp ?

many thanks Vincent

Is there an official date on these yet? Any more impressions?

I'm strongly considering preordering the pair if my sales come through...

Are there any impressions on the sound of the Dac floating around?
I'm also a bit confused about the USB input. Does it do 192/24 on a Mac?
I read it does 96/24 natively without drivers, the site says 192/24 for all inputs.

Quoted for validity...
