Ve tour kit is off to @riverground. Great set of earphones. The Phoenix is really outstanding but is too similar to the a18s that I have. The EXT was my favourite as I don't have anything quite like it. It's a little weird. Thin with big bass but delicate and fun.

Passed on the fir tour kit to @Natesdailies, putting a note here that one of the 3.5mm cable had issue with one of the side not working properly

I forgot to post it here too but I’ve received the VE Tour kit from @Gasdoc on Wednesday!

Confirmed receipt of the VE kit from @riverground and @Sifo today at BBR! Having a first run at both EXT and Phonix and my quick quick impressions is that I'm leaning more towards the Phonix sonic qualities more than EXT. EXT has insane mid range and treble resolution but my preferences are leaning towards the Phonix staging, and imaging qualities with similar level of detail and a more 'full' sounding profile to my ears. Will try to provide more in depth impressions when it's closer to the end of my time with the kit. Thanks again @Rockwell75 for this opportunity!

Ps. Everything is in the described condition as previously mentioned.

I just realized you used the word 'thin' to describe the EXT, that's egg shell walking in the cooler thread LoL.

Fir Audio Xenon 6.. .everybody should listen to these...very educational. Smooth and soothing with fantastic headroom...the bass is dampened and sounds like a subwoofer...similar to ifi Audio's XBass. The holographic experience is so good that I thought my JVC HA-FDX1 were faulty. Anything in the $200-400 category sounded like crap thereafter.

BUT: as a blogger who intends to write a comprehensive review, 1 week is way too short. I already packed the NE4 and KR5 up...totally impossible to digest them all in the shortness of time. Can't change that as everybody else on the list wants to evaluate them, too.

I'm really looking forward to trying the XE6 out. If it's how people are describing it may be right up my alley and musical preferences. I cannot stop listening to the Phonix, which is currently in my possession and it's just outstanding. Everything comes alive with this IEM.
