I misread that (did you edit it?), I thought you were asking if cables CAN make a difference and I meant to agree by saying absolutely, cables DO make a difference.

Man I have been reading that last couple years of and the cable stuff Stereophile: CES 2009 Show Report is awesome. Even found where Ray Samuel's may be making the headphone amp for the next Wadia iTransport. The name may be misspelled. 60,000.00 dollar pure silver IC's from Australia!!! Great stuff!
There are differences in my experience and the more resolving your system, the more impact they will have. I treat cables like another component these days although they don't always have as much impact as a new source or headphones.
