VZR Model One

You mean contacting Vzr? I don't know of any support channel?
Hi there,
I'm Mike from VZR.
Regarding balanced cables with a mic, at present, there is no 'off-the-shelf' solution that would provide balanced operation whilst having microphone functionality. We'll keep this in mind for possible future updates/options to provide for the Model One.

If you need further assistance, please reach out to us at support@vzraudio.com

Thanks!
Mike @ VZR

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the info I thought this might be the case I don't want to give up the mic you see so I will just stick with the single ended cable for now.

Welcome to the forum @worldsound !

It might be a good idea to do a headfi tour. If you look around the forum, you’ll find many such threads where manufacturers send out a unit for the community to try out with their rig at home. When one is done, they ship it to the next person.

I think if more people have a chance to hear these things they will become very popular

I really appreciate the suggestion, @AlwaysForward ! We're working on getting inventory and will take this into consideration. Agreed 100% that more ears on the Model One are in order.
If there is anywhere you'd like me to leave a review I'd be happy too. I've also been recommending it to all my friends on discord in Gadgetrytechs server.

@worldsoundI was wondering if thwre has been any progress on the additional pads for the VZR, which altered the sound in different ways, pleasantly. I demo'd them at Canjam 2022 Socal, and im aware that is was something you werw still just thinking about. FYI, still my favorite listening gear for experiencing games, movies, shows, etc. while at my desk.

I just got the VZRs 2 days ago and really impressed with them I'm hardly a Audiophile I watch Z-Reviews and few other. I'm using a IFI Zen Dac 2 with my PC along with Razer surround 7.1 software with THX it's emulated 7.1 surround but works with any 3.5mm Headphone. The only way to get the software is by buying a recent Razer Headphone they give you a code in the box. Music sound totally awesome with the VZR and the Razer software. I only had a Fedilo Phillips before X2 and X3 was using a the X3 for about a month. I have other headphones like Massdrop Jubilees don't care for them along with Hyper X Alphas which I thought were perfect at one time. You will be hearing thing in games that you never heard before with these headphone though =) I'm hearing like voicing in the title screen in the game Forespoken along I tried a few games like Deadspace remastered and Warhammer Darktide everything sounds Epic but I'm using the Razer 7.1 Software with the THX enabled Spatial Audio Program without it stuff doesn't sound as spectacular.

I saw this video. Very interested in this product.

Seems there might be a v2 to the product. Found a graph.* edited

That was a great review. Reviewer and I hear the exact same thing. Balanced. Speaker sound. Ultra low distortion. Very high resolution. Outstandingly punchy yet linear bass. Holographic/Spatial imaging. Confidence in professional use.

V2 is a bit of a stretch. They sound the same and have a few minor external build updates.

He said that current owners can contact VZR directly to make the update to their existing M1. I like that kind of long term support from a company.

Great stuff.

You know, it dawned on me I’ve had these over a year and am still amazed every single time. The only other audio products that have done that to me are my HiFi System and the iSine20.

And I still have absolutely zero GAS for other high end headphones. Just completely gone.

So if you have the old version you can swap for the updated one?
