Vox player for OSX

Is anyone using Vox with their music stored on a server? I noticed if I play the files directly or via iTunes there is no buffering, but when using Vox to play stuff through the iTunes library it buffers in-between every song. I love the minimalism of Vox, but the buffering is driving me nuts.
