Recently, the well-known Japanese media, ONGEN PUBLISHING CO., LTD., released the winner list of the VGP 2022 SUMMER. As usual, FiiO's products got good grades. In particular, the BTR5 2021, M11 Plus ESS, and M17 were granted the Gold Award!
1. 150 thousand-300 thousand yen portable audio player gold award: M17

The K5 Pro ESS employs the flagship portable ESS DAC, the ES9038Q2M with more outstanding performance and richer audio details. It supports coaxial/optical/RCA line in and 6.35mm/RCA line out for up to 768k/ native DSD512 decoding. The 3 gain levels take good care of both rich details and large dynamics.
6. Below 50 thousand yen desktop DAC/Amp award: K3
The K3 uses the ES9038Q2M DAC. The circuit design implementing this DAC has been optimized for a low noise floor and clean sound. It equips with 3.5mm single-ended and 2.5mm balanced outputs, low and high gain levels, and is compatible with driverless and high-performance modes.
7. Below 50 thousand yen desktop DAC/Amp award: E10K-TC
The E10K-TC comes with the flagship XMOS XUF208 for better USB decoding. PCM is now supported up to 32bit/384kHz sampling rates. It has high/low gain adjustment as well as bass boost. The USB Type-C connector gives the device more compatibility. At the same time, the headphone/line/coaxial outputs make it easier to connect to other equipment.
8. 10 thousand-30 thousand yen small DAC/Amp award: KA3
The compact body includes a high-performance ES9038Q2M. The robust decoding supports up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD512. Dual headphone outputs, 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced, satisfy multiple use cases.
9. Bluetooth transceiver award: BTA30 Pro
The BTA30 Pro employs the high performance ES9038Q2M DAC, making for wider dynamic ranges compared to portable devices. LDAC transmitting and receiving are both supported with sampling rates up to 384k/32bit and native DSD256, which can easily deal with multiple use cases.
10. True Wireless Bluetooth amplifier award: UTWS5
The UTWS5 utilizes an independent low power consumption AK4332 DAC and flagship-grade QCC5141 Bluetooth chip, supporting Qualcomm's third-gen TWS Mirroring, Bluetooth 5.2 and aptX/aptX adaptive/LHDC wireless Bluetooth. The pure beryllium diaphragm dynamic driver IEMs FD7 is built in with an ultra-large 12mm pure beryllium dynamic driver that features exceptionally swift transient response and remarkably rich sound. The FD7 comes standard with three pairs of interchangeable sound tubes, each with a different inner diameter for different sounds. 13. 50 thousand-75 thousand yen in-ear monitors award: FA7S
The all-new FA7S employs a custom 6 Knowles BA setup, with each set of drivers handling a specific frequency range having their own sound chambers so as to greatly minimize frequency interference. The high-quality monocrystalline silver-plated copper cable, angled MMCX connectors, twist-lock swappable audio plugs, and Hi-Res audio certification are all here for better assured quality.
14. 30 thousand-50 thousand yen in-ear monitors award: FH5s
The old winner of VGP 2021 SUMMER, FH5s, couples with a newly developed double dynamic driver and double balanced armature acoustic architecture. The dual dynamic driver setup connects the low, bass and mids together more smoothly and coherently. There are also three tuning switches for 8 exciting ways to listen. The JD3's driver employs a neodymium magnet with high magnetic flux for ample energy reserves. Stainless steel is the material of choice for the earphone housing. There is a built-in HD microphone with line controls that supports these functions: answer/hang up; play/pause, and volume +/-.
17. Earphone cable award: LC-RD
The brand new swappable plug earphone cable LC-RD is made of high-purity monocrystalline pure silver. With 4 large strands, there are a total of 224 wires in the cable. More wires result in better conductivity.
18. Earphone cable award: LC-RE Pro
The LC-RE Pro is made of high-purity gold, silver and copper, including 20 gold-plated + 20 pure silver + 20 monocrystalline copper. 4 strands in a total of 240 wires transmit every last audio detail. The twist-lock interchangeable audio plug design allows for switches between 3.5mm single-ended, 2.5mm balanced and 4.4mm balanced plugs.
