yea that too doesnt work, few days ago the battery button stopped working I thought it was a battery issue, left it to charge, after that tried to connect it to my ipod and yea no luck. I know this stuff happens so no hard feeling but I never had a unit malfunction literally under 2 hours of usage.

I've looked into the manual to figure out what this light configuration means nothing is mentioned about it.

EDIT: The English manual indicate
precharge: Orange green
Charge: Orange
Complete: Green

Mine just changed from what it was in the picture to : "Nothing"-"Orange"

Could it be that the manual is wrong?

I'll check with VentureCraft tomorrow for you. Meanwhile, maybe try :-

1) draining the battery completely
2) charging it up fully
3) reset one more time
4) plug in your iDevice?

I don't know if it was a recharge issue. I was just providing general trial 'n error troubleshooting drain and reset steps.

What did you do to get the battery button working again? Was it the reset switch?

I just left it connected to the computer, I assume that it had not enough power to light up the LED. That seem to be an issue.

Do you know what is the expected playback hours for this?

Wow, never really tested that. I've never really tried draining the DD continuously. Usually my iPhone battery dies first.

Sup guys! New to posting here but been a long time lurking just reading and reviewing devices...but anyways, I bought this when venturecraft first put it up on amazon...in fact, I put up the first review on amazon. Venturecraft sent me a USB to 30 pin plug as a gift for being the first to put up a review. Anyways, I have the opa275 version. I figured I could just buy the cheapest model and just upgrade the op amp later after everyone makes a review on which op amp is the best for the type of music I listen to. Right off the bat I noticed the opa275 lacked in the bass section. Mids and highs were really clear, but the bass would sound really distorted. After about doing a 4-5 hour burn in, it sounded a little better, not as distorted, but not much punch either... So I ordered a set of opa627ap from digikey, that's when I started getting wierd problems. After swapping them out, I had some really bad high pitch noise in my headphones. Tested out, and sourced out the noise coming from the dac. Swapped back the op275 and it went away. Perhaps I have a bed set of opa627...but now, the light on my on/off switch stays red. When I first got it, it would flash red and then turn green after pairing with my iPod. It works fine and pairs with my iPod, but never turns green anymore...from what I can tell, it's working just fine...just was wondering if the same thing happened to you guys? I just purchased a set of muses01 on amazon so I will see how that sounds soon...also, this is my first time messing with op amps...is MIT really just plug and play for these devices? Do I need to upgrade something else to accommodate the higher quality op amps?

I dont know if it helps but from what I know they modify their muses01, muses 02 and OPA625 version by increasing the voltage.

PS: I have he muse01 with 9 vtune upgrade and my toggle switch has always been red since day one.

VentureCraft mentioned to me they have replied to you. The photo you provided was useful in understanding your issue.

How is it going now? I guess you've fully charged it? They recommended that you charge it straight from somewhere that gives you a dedicated 2A 5V source like your PC. Don't use a USB hub, & preferably use their provided cable which is a properly certified USB standard (no sacrificed wiring).

Perfectly, I did the first run through all was spot on. I think what had happened was I left the unit plug into my computer and it was fully charged, I just forgot to turn of the unit. The battery life is great, I will comment on it once I do a second run test.

They have been really helpful with answering my emails. They also commented on the recommendation I have made, however I do not know if I am allowed to share those however their answers made sense to me.

I am very happy so far, I just have to buy a cable and some silicon straps and I have a nice portable Hi-Fi rig now that my EX-1000 is here. I just have to buy a amp worthy of this setup. I have the C5 coming, hopefully that is a good pairing.

I am thinking of buying this, looks really useful.

Excellent.

I'd say keep their responses to your recommendations to yourself first. You could check with them if its ok to share naturally.

VentureCraft are great guys. Although their design is sometimes not to my preference, overall though they seem to be heading to the right direction. Not often JP business take in feedback from end consumers. Big JP organizations usually take feedback from professionals & celebrities in the business instead. So I like how VentureCraft & a few other smaller boutique makers take feedback from end consumers.

Indeed, I am sold as their loyal customer, really looking forward towards their future products. I just hope to see a audiophile grade SS from them in near future, something to match the DD-Socket 1. A pure OPA627 amp made in japan  now that would be something :)

AnakChan, I'd love to try out your DD Socket 1 with my new JDS Labs C5. I'm wondering if that might be a good combo.

I'm a free man this weekend :D. Name the time and place.
