I'm a stupid newbie with a question. I've been hunting down a used pair or sony MDR-v6(00)'s for my first good pair of phones......on ebay. Is there a difference????

If so..

Which one is the good pair that everyone keeps ranting about???

Really??? GOod thing I didn't win that ebay auction an hour ago then.

The v6's look crappy though, not as nice as the v-600's, but i'll take your word for it. Also, on ebay, the v-600's are going for $60.00, so what's a good price for the v-6's on ebay?

Daniel, good thing that you didn't win that auction for the MDR-V600's...

The V600s look high-class, but are actually cheaply made - and crappy-sounding for the price! (That is, I wouldn't pay even $15 for them.) The MDR-V6s - despite looking "crappy" - should go for about the same amount as the V600s that you were outbid on.
