I noticed something strange listening with mine... I just bought this 2 days ago. I noticed that the LEFT driver is louder than the RIGHT? Listening to some thumbing bass i feel the left side vibrating but the right side doesnt. Im trying to listen one without the thats why I can tell that the LEFT driver is louder. Is this normal with the M100? I checked my speaker balance and it is balance. Need advice. thanks

EDIT: Nevermind! I found out whats the problem. Its my input jack from my amp is not properly put in. Stupid, I know :)

Happens sometimes. The Audinst amp that my friend was using is terrible at that.

You might also want to try the TRS cable (i.e. that one without the remote and the TRRS connector). Might be easier to get a correct connection with some sockets.

Neither cable that comes with the M-100 is TRS. They are both TRRS. The only way to get a TRS connection to test for that is to flip the cables.

Thats unfortunately correct... but a simple one like this posted by @Sonic Defender in the HP50 thread might fit:
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021820&p_id=11513&seq=1&format=2&AID=11051853&PID=6146845

Others suggested fitting TRS cables in this thread as well, but that might be a bit difficult to locate.

I have had my M100 for a little over 2 weeks. I ordered the XL pads and they came in the mail yesterday morning. I liked the sound of these headphones with the stock pads MUCH more than with the XL's. I need to find a way to accelerate the breaking in of these pads so they place my ear as far from the drivers as the stockers. These are much thicker.

Any suggestions?

Why not re-fit the stock pads?

Oh, because the XL's are much more comfortable. I want the comfort of the XL's and the sound of the stockers.

put them on a something abt the same size as ur head.

It wasn't putting enough pressure on it when I had it on my big hard shell case (not the M100 one), so I tried something else. I tied some nylon multifilament sleeving around it really tightly. It'll be like this for a couple days.

I also didn't want it to be on something larger than my head for an extended time and cause the headband to lose it's clamping force.

Interesting solution...
You might also want to try to knead the pads with your fingers, might help as well.

Just received my matt black M100.  Love them.  I had the M80's which were great but find the M100's more comfortable.  The ear cups are shallow but aren't too bad.  My ears "just" touch so it doesn't cause any discomfort.  I love how compact these are.  The M100 box is smaller then the M80 box.

My only complaint is V-moda no longer bundles 3 button cables and has moved to 1 button.

So are you going to buy the XL pads? they are a lot more comfortable, and are only 20 bucks.
