Soo. What do you do if you have a damn scratch on your V-moda's? Is there a way to cover it up? It happened to me while I exchanged the normal pads with the xl pads (Don't ask me how)  >.<. I mean it's not that of a problem, but still.

I suggest THIS STUFF.

Besides the obvious option of wearing the scars with pride you can try to cover it up with a permanent marker (i.e. Edding or something like that). While it won't heal an actual scratch in the metal of course, its still quite effective optically.

been wondering if the xl pads really worth the extra $$$

i mean it's like $40 here, and for a college-student pocket, it's kind of a heavy purchase for me lol

so far i had no comfort issues with the original pads

Then you can save your $40 if you don"t have comfort issue with the orig pads.

Then you have no need whatsoever for the XL pads. The sound differences between the pads vary widely from person to person with some saying there's a definite difference and others saying there's almost no noticeable difference. I think there's a tiny change, but for me it more about comfort as I wear glasses and the stock pads get (slightly) uncomfortable after an hour or so. Save your money for something else.

A little Fiio e12 magic you say? I do have it in me to commit dostoyevskian murder in the name of sound quality, so I guess 130 + shipping can be

organized...

I find playing something like Woodkid-Iron for example using my clip+ or iphone 5s 320/FLAC with the E12 and m100 really does help. Highs and lows just seem to feel much tighter and clearer. Thats what my ears tell me anyway

Keep the original pads... thats how the M100 was intended to sound anyway
Plus I like the look of the original pads better... the XL pads are an accessory Val designed for the minority of users having problems with comfort and spent quite some time to avoid changes to the sound signature. So if you dont have comfort issues theres no need to the the XL pads.

I'm talking about people having problems with comfort. How did you come to the conclusion that everybody, who does not fit perfectly with tine pad opening automatically has a comfort issue? I don't fit that hole (by quite a margin actually) but definitely have no comfort problem... Of course my T1 is more comfortable with its large and deep pads... nevertheless I can wear the M100 as long as I actually want to without issues. And yes: I think the majority has no comfort problems (which does not mean pillow heaven like a good headphone for home use).

Whereas on Amazon UK V-moda try sell them for the equivalent of $415!!!

I mean seriously....$150 more.....50% price increase to me here in Ireland. You expect me to buy them?
Even without the current price drop @$310 they still are normally $100 dearer here.
