Yes, I'm thinking Val might have an issue with their use of the name which I assume is copyrited.

lol crossfading is an audio mixing technique where you fade one song out while fading the other song in. The copyright would be on the name "V-Moda Crossfade M100." I don't think you can copyright the word crossfade since it's already a dictionary word. There are already a lot of products and artists that feature the word in their brand. Even the Beats have some Crossfade edition headphones I think lol

I'm an old dude not remotely in the DJ scene, so it just grabbed my attention.

Has anyone here heard the M-100 with either a Fiio E12 or a JDS Labs C5? I'm about to upgrade my portable amp and I cannot decide which amp to get. Leaning towards the C5 from what I have heard about it so far though.

I own both and the C5 is my go-to amplifier of choice for portability and sound quality.

Why do you prefer the C5?

Mainly because it sounds much cleaner/less coloured and its interface is more manageable.

They sound excellent with the E12 amp.Great synergy. And bass boost makes those drivers vibrate without distortion. All genres of music sound great.I Have not heard the C5.

E12 Mont Blanc or E12 E12?
E12 Mont Blanc sounded nice, but I had it up too loud and price point was a squeeze, returned it.

I use my E17 with M100s at times, very nice combo but I prefer without. It all depends.
Might buy a VAMP VERZA soon.
