Wow! I just went through the checkout at V-Moda only to find that shipping this $20 item is gonna cost me $86! That can't be right surely?

No.

Good. Is USPS not the US Postal Service and UPS is international?

Then I'm right. Man, that's way too expensive for me.

Will the XL pads really widen the soundstage and less the bass impact? Im really curious of this one.. Its like a pros and cons.. Cant decide.. Help..

NO, not at all. I didn't consider these bass cans at all (without some boost). Now with the XL's the bass is insane, perhaps a bit much at points.

And as for soundstage, I had more depth with the stock pads, but barely noticeable for me.

There's been a lot of mixed opinions on the XL's, for ME the XL's give me a better seal, hence more/deeper bass (much more).

Comfort wise there's no contest. Sound wise, its been a mix bag of impressions but I certainly think its an all around upgrade

I haven't heard them and it doesn't look like I will but I can't see them making all that much difference. The cans were tuned with stock pads in mind and the owner of the company was on here explaining that they were trying to make the XL's sound as much like stock as possible.

Having said that comfort is very important and so is getting a good seal. The XL'S should work in both respects and even if the comfort creates a placebo, it's still a win-win.

God, don't let the audiophiles hear you say that. They'll freak out and insist that the Audeze LCD2 are bass-heavy.

If nothings really gonna change, maybe ill just stick with the stock pads. Im just wondering if it will give much space inside to widen the sound stage but like my speculation, maybe just made for comfort..

hahah im serious, it was seal issues. Try lifting the top or bottom of the earpiece away from your head a quarter inch or so, thats what they sounded like to me. The xls solved that, frames of my glasses definitely stock out a bunch on the sides.

USPS ships to the UK. I've just had a set of XL Pads delivered to aberdeen. I paid $50 incl. shipping using USPS priority international shipping with tracking.

Thanks Anthony, that's what I needed to know. I'm just down the road from you. I've never bought anything from abroad before. Can I ask how long they took to arrive?
