Hello,my name is Wade ..I am 50 this year, when I was 14, I was already tinkerer.. and was already a budding audiophile, way b4 I even knew what one was! I started playing drums back then.. and I needed more volume ! It was that simple,I had some now old Pioneer, The ones that look like you have half a bolwing ball on your head.. They were robust though..I found a set of them at a yeard sale some yeatrs ago..I gave them to my uncle, because I got a pair of the [pioneers around that time, we;;. they worked for years, iuntill.I accidentally had left them hooked up , when I thought they wpould be off. They werent.. well.. Thats when I found out that ot every type of headphones like that much power.. So fast forward to last year., anout 32 years ago now..I was reading a self written autobiography by the Founder/ Co_ founder of "Schitt" Amps.. And at the very beginning of the book, was The guy..I cannot recall the name, Old age,lol.. anyways, the book starts out with him listening to a very nice pair of headphones, Hooked to what.. you betcha The speaker outs! I think thats what sucked me into reading the rest of thew book, it was online..It was an excellent read,,OI have spent most of my life being a Tool and Die maker, / Machinist.. I have been in sales the past 5 years.. But yep, it gets done, Matter of dfact, How I found you was from a search. Powering headphones from speaker outas" And now I have quite a few articles about this.. Something else,, "SChitt" makes a High powered headphone amp..I think its like 8 watts per channel.. But You weren't the only one to try such a brave manuiever! Now if I hadda been there,I would of hiughly reccomended you NOT, hook yours or any earbuds up in ther same way.. The def wont take even a full watt// there just to small. and not every pair of home headphones will take it either.. I have a feeling My main amp, a Mitsubishi Da A~30 just doesnt like low Ohms at higer volumes,,I wonder what it would interpret my headphones as being.. believe it or not,, A good deal of the time I do listen to music is when I am at my computer,,I have studio monitors here, some awesome Stanton Hi R4s D/A ~ A/D convertors.. And I love my Turtle Beach's X12's,, they haver a little headphone amp inline, with a Master volume and a Bass level. and they just sound great! The can easily be worn for long hours, they arent expensive, and most of the time, they are just convienient. They have a 12 ft cable, and it does require a usb to power them, But they are designed to be used on your stereo, they sent some rca connectors spo you could put then inline with a send.. anyways,, yours was the first article I have read about this. We weren alone.. the guy who stole our patent,,lol.. The owner of "Schitt" audio..I think maybe he poutta bring us onboard as consultants, and beer and product tester.. I want them to do a big amp! anyways.. Maybe I will hear back from you .. Thanks. Sincerely, Wade Bradley
