I have sold my Grado RS-2 Cans and are now looking to buy the Denon AH-D7000. I still have the Grado RA-1 amplifier but will it be enough to drive the Denon AH-D7000 or do i need something more powerfull?

Kind regards

probably wouldnt be the best amp. but it would work as the denon have low impedance just like the grados.

Bad, bad combination IMO. I owned an RA-1 9v and and a D7000. The RA-1 couldn't begin to do justice to the D7k, they lacked bass and sounded tiny. I'm convinced the RA-1 pairs well only with Grado and that there are a lot of amps out there that will make any Grado sound better than the RA-1.

Okay, my current setup is a Arcam rDac from my iMac to the Grado RA-1. The problem is that i live in Denmark where the selection of Headphone amps is very narrow. Some of the headphone amplifiers available is:

Heed canamp

Musical Fidelity M1 HPA

Vincent KHV-1

This is about it in my price range... So is one of these a better choice for the Denon D-7000s ?
