That you only think because you are brainwashed to accept Bluetooth is better and there is no need of 3.5mm, And Apple did not bleed because when they sell a device which costed them merely $100-$150 at $1000-2000, then no company can make loss. Even if there is absolutely no sale of any apple item at all for next 2-3 years, the company will hardly have ay impact. They have made money which can last for next 100 years without ding anything at all. That's really not the problem. Someone will like having the plug, someone won't. It's like that for everything. Bigger screens didn't please everybody, removing physical buttons also didn't please everybody when it happened. Some brands supported the physical keyboard, so we could make our own decision. where are they now? People voted with their wallet. Have you seen Apple bleed out money when they made the "courageous" choice to remove the plug?
You don't want jack because you are brainwashed otherwise no sane person will even think of removing 3.5mm Jack to use Bluetooth. External DAC or Dongles/ Connectors do nothing except connecting your 3.5mm earphone with USB. All processing already done by the internal DAC and they simply pass the signals to wired earphone. Removing 3.5mm Port is nothing but a scam to force people to buy these additional devices. As per many surveys, market of BT headphones, Dongles etc. was around $7 Billions by 2018 which is expected to touch $50 Billions. Hence this scam to get max share of that.Didn't happen and because of that, other brands soon started doing the same. We have the cellphones people buy. Mine has a jack, not that I really care as I've always used DAPs for music, but clearly we still have the choice if that plug is our priority. Whining right now is only about saying "I want that particular phone, but I want it with a jack!". It's a very different narrative.
Just like how the various reactions to Melody's nonsense have little to no relation to being pro jack removal. It's risky to start supporting a nonsense narrative just because it defends that one thing we want. Probably a bigger problem at a voting booth than on this forum, but still, let's be careful.

I don't want to use external connector. 2 things 1st, who will carry additional device and then take of that that you often lose. If I have 10 earphones, I will need to buy 10 such connectors to use them without worry of forgetting. 2nd, inserting and pushing the connector to USB every now and then will damage it. USB Port is not as strong as 3.5mm Port. It is good to use for charging once in a day or data transfer once in a while but not for using as Headphone Port. There is no way to attach that permanently. I was asking how can I make 3.5mm Port into these phones?something like this:

depending on which you buy, it will have different functionality. I was saying somehow attach it to back of the phone/phone case so in sense, you can leave it plugged in long-term while giving you access to the 3.5 mm jack, sdcard, charging port etc..
I don't use iPhone but for Android also, they are not providing it anymore. Everyone wants to sell more and more connectors and make more money. Otherwise no reason to remove 3.5mm port. Also, as I mentioned above, I don't want to use external connector and carry another device which I may lose and then my phone will be of no use for that day. There are two things. 1st - who will carry additional device and then take of that that you often lose. If I have 10 earphones, I will need to buy 10 such connectors to use them without worry of forgetting. 2nd, inserting and pushing the connector to USB every now and then will damage it. USB Port is not as strong as 3.5mm Port. For iPhones, this is the adapter. It's $8, it's no bigger than the cord itself, and the sound quality is equal to standalone audiophile DACs.

You can't lose the Apple dongle. It just becomes part of the cord. And if you use a bunch of different headphones, the same one will work for all. Or spend $8 and get one for each set of cans and leave it attached to them. Apple' output isn't USB. It's lightning port, which doesn't pull out any easier than a headphone plug. Maybe you should just go Apple and you won't have any of these problems. Apple is better designed than Android in general.
I don't see why anyone would need ten sets of headphones for a portable rig.

You just need 1 adapter and keep it with your phone. Why would you need 10. That's like saying I need 10 DAP to listen to my 10 different headphones.
If you really want to not use the adapter, you can always get cables that have a DAC build in and uses USB C.

then you misunderstood what i said then. There is no way to attach that permanently. I was asking how can I make 3.5mm Port into these phones?
the only way to " permanently" attach it is you leave the dongles plug in forever. and design a phone case around it so you don't unplug it. That way, it looks more seamless and it protects the usb connector from damage. Almost similar to how there's phone case with built-in battery bank.
to visualize how a professionally-made case with 3.5 mm jack+sd card , look at this picture for inspiration:

Here is what you need for your Android device. I don't really think it's "too much to lug around" and at $9, it isn't expensive.

@MelodyMood knows it. but that doesn't address his concerns. Here is what you need for your Android device. I don't really think it's "too much to lug around" and at $9, it isn't expensive.

I can't figure out what his concerns are. He seems to just want a headphone jack on the phone because he wants a headphone jack on the phone. There's no real reason why he has to have it. Every time he mentions a reason, it isn't correct.
I thought it was a pain when the headphone jack was first taken away. Everything I had at the time was designed around that 3.5mm jack... cables, headphones, etc. But now that I have bluetooth earbuds, headphones and speakers, I totally see why Apple did it. Bluetooth is just more convenient than wired, and there is no real downside... even if you want to use wired headphones.
And I will say, my experience with TRRS plugs was not good. Running mic input along with headphone output just didn't work great. The plugs would connect wrong sometimes and the jacks wore out quicker. I much prefer bluetooth to a double wire like that.
The only inconvenience I see is that you can't play high data rate audio files on Apple bluetooth devices. But Apple has explained that is because there is no audible difference between AAC and HD Audio. Why make everything more expensive to accommodate data rates that make absolutely no audible difference?

I am not worried abt DAC. 10 Adapters require because I have even more than 10 earphones. What if I forget to take one and it's just unnecessary burden to carry one more device. ON top of that, it doesn't look good as well as inconvenient as your earphone will unplug easily from that. You just need 1 adapter and keep it with your phone. Why would you need 10. Who leaves the Dongles plug into the Phone forever? No one buy phone to have tail fixed into that.then you misunderstood what i said then.

I wouldn't leave the dongle permanently attached to the phone, I'd leave it permanently attached to the earphone cable.
I'm curious... Why do you need more than ten sets of earbuds? Don't some of those require amping? I would think that an amp is much more of an inconvenience than a little $8 piece of wire with a plug at each end.

he's a purist like me and I have the same feelings as him. bluetooth is only "convenient" after your initial investment cost. and i put convenient in "" because it's not convenient in all areas. For example, if you trying to take a phone call; its easier, faster, cheaper, and more reliable for me to grab a headphone/iem than to use bluetooth headphones/iems. Why? because it may be out of battery and you need to make sure you charge it, and you need to make sure the bluetooth connects successfully every single time.I can't figure out what his concerns are. He seems to just want a headphone jack on the phone because he wants a headphone jack on the phone. There's no real reason why he has to have it. Every time he mentions a reason, it isn't correct.

1 thing with bluetooth is there's also a memory limitation. if you exceed it, you need to forget the pair devices if you need to pair it to another device.

that's why its called a customization.. its personalization. .. Thats why I said I want to do it.Who leaves the Dongles plug into the Phone forever? No one buy phone to have tail fixed into that.
this is just a one of many alternative solutions to a lack of 3.5 mm jack.

If that's the case, just use an old phone. if it does what you need it to, you don't need to upgrade to new tech. But there are definite advantages to the new models...

You might not be aware of it, but the batteries in Apple products aren't like they used to be. My iPhone can go all day and not run out of juice. The same for my MacBook Pro. And my AirPods Pro can go 4 1/2 hours uninterrupted. Pop them in the case for a few minutes and they're charged up again. The case carries 24 hours of playtime total. And the AirPods Pro Max can go 20 hours of straight audio playback; and from stone dead, they can charge enough to play an hour and a half in five minutes.
When I go to bed, I just set stuff on charging pads and plug in my laptop and everything's fully charged when I wake up. In normal use, nothing gets below 80% charged by the end of the day. I think I could go a three day weekend without charging if I wanted to... maybe a full week. It's MUCH better than the old days with the iPod and the early generation iPhones. The battery problems have been solved.
And it's much more convenient to take phone calls with bluetooth devices than wired ones. My iPhone can be in my pocket playing music. If a call comes in, I get a ring in the AirPods. I tap one of them to answer the call and speak and hang up at the end without ever taking my phone out of my pocket. That is a lot easier than fishing a phone out to look at the screen and answer the call. I can even use Siri to make outbound calls without touching the phone. Or change the album I'm listening to. Or give me directions to get to somewhere.
I think this is like when computers first came out. I remember thinking, "Why do I need a computer? I have everything I need." But the computer created its own need by making things convenient that I couldn't do before. I didn't know what those things were until I got the computer.

That isn't an issue with Apple devices either.

there are current/new models with 3.5 mm jack, it is becoming more scarce and do need to do your research tho.If that's the case, just use an old phone. if it does what you need it to, you don't need to upgrade to new tech. But there are definite advantages to the new models...
ok. but wired devices don't require charging. I personally know ppl where their bluetooth devices ran out of battery and can't use them. I don't need to worry at all charging my wired headphones. 1 less thing to worry about, the better it is for me.You might not be aware of it, but the batteries in Apple products aren't like they used to be. My iPhone can go all day and not run out of juice

you're comparing it when you already using you airpods and its already connected vs. when not using the wired device and not connected. put it in the same testing conditions.
That isn't an issue with Apple devices either.
but it is in general, i don't isolate things to certain software ecosystems.
we unfortunately reached the point where having a 3.5 mm jack was standard, to now a "purist"'s dream. I believe we are not at the point (yet) where wireless anything (such as bluetooth) is superior to wired devices (like 3.5 mm jack) in terms of reliability, quality, and latency in general overall, and I would say this is a fact. If this was the case, studios and live events like concerts will use bluetooth/wireless everything, and ethernet cables will be obsolete.
But wireless/bluetooth can be good enough for some/most people in their day to day life. its about the monetary investment, learning how to effectively use it, and training your habits
