I've had a pair of Sennheiser HD280 pro for a while. They broke a while back, but I got another pair since it was under warranty. However, I do think it's appropriate to pick up another pair of headphones by this point.
I do like the sound of HD280. But I want to upgrade, perhaps to something different. What I like most about the HD280 is isolation which, while not absolutely necessary, is pretty important.
The headphones I'm looking at the moment are :
1. Denon D2000 (biggest caveat about this is isolation...)
2. Shure SRH840
3. Beyerdynamic DT770
4. AKG k271
I'm a gamer, but I'd rather have something for music than games - I could always just use my HD280 for games instead.
My budget is under $250 so if you're making suggestions as to other headphones to look at, please keep that in mind.
Whatever I buy will be used along with my Nuforce Icon uDAC.
