I just got my Apuresound S cable for my Etys. In my experience, you still have to wrap the wire up over the top of the ear to reduce the microphonics. It only takes a couple of tries to get used to putting the Etys in upside down and then routing the wire up over the ear, but it really cuts out microphonics. If you also added a shirt clip, it should pretty much eliminate it.
The Etys sound great with this cable, but I am also using a Lisa III amp and the bass boost feature helps fill in the bass of the Etys. You might also experiment with the equalization curve suggested here: Reference earphones which seems to take a little of the excessive brightness of the Etys down a notch.
The next thing I am going to try are some custom earmolds.
