[UPDATED]:Headphone DAC and AMP recommendations under 4500$

So what if they use that? Why technicaly op amps are worse? More pleasant distortion that soften everything?
discrete components. like bipolar, jfet, mosfet, resistors...I am really confused by your questions to be honest. I suggest you google for answers or ask someone with more time to respond.

So, you think it's still a solid improvement over the E30 / THX 789 stack? Also its not tubed, so could it add the warmth needed for those 800 S cans lacking bass?
Don't really know if it is an improvement. I have the 800s.
The Diablo makes them sing and mobile. The Xduoo TA 30 is a better match at $700. It is strictly desk top but portable

Seems like you spreading your gospel whitout any truth just audiophile nonsense.
I presume you have never taken an analog circuit class. If that's case, I recommend MIT open course to get yourself up to speed on the topic. At least you will know how to read a data sheet.

Yes you did!!! 😂😅

If I look long enough on weiss, it will be justified😅😅
Weiss is the the gateway hi-end sound. Once you hear it you will get the difference between high-end sound and hi-fi sound. No amount of words can convince someone to step up to high end from hi-fi sound unless they try one themselves - something something about diminished return... It's really just $3 a day for 10 years :D

Thing about Weiss DACs with DSP...They make really good plugins also for DAW. I am familiar with Universal Audio, so I know how good a sound can be tuned.

The reason why I ditched Universal Audio was because of the hardware, not good QC imo. They are better at making DSP than both in one. I would still buy DSP unit from them but not a DAC/soundcard.

I am trying to find out how to control the dsp software on weiss dac501/502, if it works through a protocol on the network/LAN.

Well I got a good deal on a alternative: Till I got the money for Weiss, there will maybe be a newer version

EDIT: I actually like the cheap looking design. The spec seems to be great. I like the idea of choosing between tube and SS.
EDIT2: From a quick google, It looks like it is made in Austria
EDIT3:
Where is pro-ject audio made?

In Czech Republic, we produce all our turntables from scratch, by hand and in house. From the tiniest screw to the chassis, everything is done by our technicians. A strict four step quality control ensures that everything works as intended.

Project Audio is not known for their digital products. You should demo before you buy. if you are looking at $1-2k you might as well demo iFi products - at least they and AMR are known for quality digital audio products.

You are right. I will demo it when my speaker arrives.

SPL Phonitor XE
From my experience it does not pair well with planar magnetic headphones. It does a good job for high impedance dynamic headphones but not for low impedance hard to drive planars.

Thanks and it's factually correct to say that our roots are in AMR that's known for digital products, but also amps and phonos
