Well I am excited to compare iFi Diablo with the twice as expensive Pro-Ject Pre Box RS2 Digital. They both have Burr Browns as far as I know.

If I had the opportunity I would compare it against the iDSD Signature, because of the way SS/Tube, they both have. Ofcourse there are som differences elsewhere(Price, network stream on idsd, I/O etc).

A little update:

I received the pro-ject powersupply today. Waiting fot the DAC.

About the comparison between iFi. I think it will be only fair when project releases a RS2 headphone amp, which is powerful enough for my Aryas

What configuration will you recommend these?

Project DAC RS2 Digital usb 2.0

Recording usb studio soundcard:
Solid State Logic SSL2+

I was thinking if the igalvanic3.0 will work with recordings with ssl2+ or is it only outputs?

From your transport (here a laptop, streamer or a PC) I'd first use Mercury3.0 that should go into iGalvanic3.0, from which yet another Mercury3.0 goes into iPurifier3 and this one plugs into your DAC. AC iPurifier should go into your power bar's first outlet. You can try using iDefender and iSilencer just before iGalvanic3.0, but the odds are they won't do much considering that iGalvanic3.0 already sorts USB's power line on its own. Hope this helps!

I ordered a igalvanic3.0 more for the recording interface SSL2+. Maybe it could give a cleaner guitar recording…already using the RNDI(rupert neve) into the SSL2+

I got my eyes open for I2S now that I have seen a little about it.

It should be independent from the clock or something like more “pure”…?

I cancelled my order on the projekt pre box rs2 digital….they placed a coaxial output on the input side which mislead me. But it has a I2S

Should I go with a dac that has this input?…I2S

Let me ask, do you have a transport that can send data via I2S?

I2S was originally designed as an internal interface to transfer signal between circuits and also separate serial data and clock, which doesn't have to be receovered from it at the receiver end. Some manufacturers managed to use I2S externally and now it's usually seen on HDMI and RJ45.

I got 50% of the price. Tired of looking any further for now. I will save money for a better system.

Sound chain HIFI listening, also TV/Optical:
1. Pc - shld usb cable - iPurifier3.0 - rme dac
2. Tv - optical - rme dac
3. Pc/streamer - shld usb cable - ipurifier3.0 - (ipowerx) - diablo

igalvanic3.0 before the ipurifier(rme)?

I was thinking of using it for Solid State Logic SSL2+ = for cleaner recordings, will this work for audio interfaces?

Soundchain for music recordings

Weiss is the the gateway hi-end sound. Once you hear it you will get the difference between high-end sound and hi-fi sound. No amount of words can convince someone to step up to high end from hi-fi sound unless they try one themselves - something something about diminished return... It's really just $3 a day for 10 years
