It looks like the tariffs will be affecting prices real soon ☹️

Notification of Retail Price Adjustment in the United States!

Dear Valued Customers,

Thank you for your long-term support and trust. As you know, FIIO has always been dedicated to designing, producing, and selling high-quality, value-for-money products for audiophiles and fashion-conscious consumers. We focus on high sales volume with low profit margins to lower the entry barrier for audiophiles, making it possible for more people to enjoy premium audio experiences. However, due to the recent imposition of a 145% tariff on Chinese imports by the U.S. and the continuous rise in various costs, we are facing significant pressure. Despite our efforts to absorb these increased costs internally, they have exceeded our capacity. To adapt to market changes and ensure continued investment in product development and strict quality control, we have had to make the difficult decision to adjust our prices after careful consideration.

Effective May 1st, 2025, the retail prices of most FIIO products will increase by approximately 40%. For specific product price adjustments, please refer to the information available on major sales platforms. If you have imminent purchasing needs, we recommend placing the order soon before the price adjustment.

We fully understand that this price adjustment may cause inconvenience, and we deeply regret any disruption it may bring. However, this decision was made after careful consideration of multiple factors, and we kindly ask for your understanding. Should tariff policies ease in the future, we will promptly revise prices and notify all customers. Once again, we thank you for your support, and we remain committed to providing you with better products and services.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the official FIIO team at any time.

UM Maven 2 endgame? I listened to a range of IEMs today, none bested the Maven. I admit the stock cables of these IEMs certainly did not help their case and I didn't spend enough time on each pair, still here are brief impressions:

Campfire Astrolith - in comparison lacking details, a bit dark sounding, my brain struggled to adjust to the sound signature
Campfire Clara - liked these the most among all tested, outstanding seal, just lacked refinement, the Maven sound a little more mature, which is helped a lot by the PWA50s cable that I am using for it, in fairness
64Audio Solo - not in the same league as others
Sony M9 - solid, but nothing special, a little thin sounding
Noble Onyx - great soundstage, new airy outside the head experience, but the music does not grip, lofty sounding
64audio Volur - liked these behind the Clara's, but compared to the Maven nothing special, does not clearly beat it in any area.
Empire Odin - technically good sounding, more bass than Mavens, but not as musical as the Maven, maybe has more potential with a better cable

I was looking for a portable IEM as the Mavens leak too much sound. But I was not wooed by any of these. Which set deserves more time?

P.S. that PWA1950S cable is seriously good, added clarity, soundstage and bass quality to the Maven, imo worth the extra £££.

I’m certainly at a pause now personally, we will see what CanJam says in September but I think with this combo + my DC-Elite, I am set.

I agree. I also got to test the Mavenii vs the Astrolith, Volur, Trifecta, and Triton, even if they were all priced the same, I would have preferred the Maven. I will say for my tastes the Astrolith was the closest but the mids to my ears sounded a bit thin (especially piano) compared to the Mavenii. It defiantly quenched my urge to try $3-4k flagships

I happen to try the Mavens with the venom cable. Match made in heaven. Very close to FatFreq Grand Maestro that I owned for a brief period. Perfect v sound signature without being too harsh. It shows its true power when paired with sources like ibasso dc elite. End game.

Currently listed for sale as I decided to try different IEM DAC combinations.

That build sounds wild 😮 dynamic + BA + EST all in one and still smaller than MEST?
No BCD in the Maven, that's probably the biggest reason why it's smaller.

Very curious how you the Maven + Lavricables pairing. If you have time to share how the Lavricable impacted the sound characteristics of your Mavens, and perhaps how that compared to other cables you might have tried with your Mavens, I'd be very grateful! :)

Stellar pairing, removes the rough edges in the upper treble from the stock cable, much more dynamic treble without sacrificing any of the low end. Plus aesthetically chef's kiss looks incredible.

Vortex Nadia - feels like it pushes the maven a bit more V-shaped, emphasis on the sub bass and low treble. Really great pairing, lies in the middle between Master Silver + Mars.
Vortex Seraphina - not a great pairing imo. Seraphina is very mid-bassy, bloats up/warms the mids way too much.
Astral Acoustics Pulse - replaced the stock cable. similar materials, better in every way.
Astral Acoustics Mars - Another top tier pairing, basically the anti-Lavricable. Warms up the lower mids in a REALLY pleasant way, widens the soundstage and takes some of the zing off when it can be peaky. Will use this one if I am looking for a more relaxed session.

Happy to answer any more questions!

Where do they need to be shipped? Can they be shipped to Music Tec? Would make a lot of sense if a bunch of people were to send to them and they ship all to you. Repairs are not subject to the import taxes.

That's actually a good idea. I mentioned this to Andrew/MT, who replied that it could be shipped to Musicteck for further arrangement.

Thanks for contacting him. I should have sent one of my Maven2 sets today with a package I sent to NJ as I have a friend that works right by MT and knows Andrew well. I will send MT an email and let my friend know about this so he can go there in person. Probably just ship to my friend and he can take to MT. I will get #69 done over and use #19 while they have that set. Love having a spare set.

All others in the US let's all coordinate and send in near same time so MT can ship all together.

Update:
UM has an IEM refurbishment program going on right now until mid June. Andrew at MT has agreed to allow people to ship to MT and they will ship to UM. It does not matter how old your UM IEM is or if its under warranty. They will make it new again for FREE. You just have to pay shipping to MT and about $10 shipping to UM and of course return shipping from MT. I would use Parcel Monkey and email them a label as you will get a discounted UPS rate that way. The more IEMs MT ships tp UM the cheaper it will be. Lets all try and send in by 6-2-25. Please spread the word.

Try the Grand Oriveti Supremacy, TOTL midrange, stage is very very good and bass is just in the right amount, if the M2 sounds like you are sitting in a room, the GOS sounds like you are in a hall.
